- Sorting the laundry
Sort laundry according to type of fabric, colour, degree of soiling and allowable water temperature, always following the garment tags. - Preparing the laundry
Remove metal attachments (underwired bras, belt buckles, metal buttons) or place items in a laundry bag or pillow case. Empty all pockets (coins, pens, paper clips, etc.), turn pockets inside out and brush. Place small items such as infant's socks and nylon stockings in a laundry bag or pillow case. Fasten zippers, sew loose buttons and mend rips and tears. - Special items
Place curtains in without compressing them and remove curtain attachment items. Keep Angora wool items in the freezer for a few hours before washing to reduce pilling. Shake off laundry that has been in contact with flour, lime dust, milk powder or similar before washing, as dusts and powders may build up on the inner parts of the machine. - Washing programmes
- Cottons 20-40-90: for cotton laundry (sheets, bedlinen, towels, bathrobes, underwear, etc.). Vigorous washing action with longer cycle.
- Synthetics: for synthetic clothes (shirts, blouses, synthetic/cotton blends). Gentle action and shorter cycle than Cottons. For curtains and tulle, it is recommended to use Synthetics 20°C or 40°C.
- Woollens / Hand Wash: for woolen and delicate laundry with very gentle washing action.
- Eco 40-60: for normally soiled cotton laundry declared washable at 40°C or 60°C, washed together with high energy and water savings. Actual water temperature may differ from the nominal temperature.
- Cottons 60 / Classic: for normally soiled, durable cotton and linen laundry, with longer cycle and energy/water savings.
- Cottons 60° with Prewash: only for heavily soiled cotton clothes. Add detergent into the prewash compartment.
- Express: for lightly soiled cotton clothes in a short time.
- Shirts: for shirts made from cotton, synthetic and synthetic blended fabrics altogether. Reduces wrinkles and includes a pre-treatment algorithm.
